Our Tradition
Red By Wolves is a young family owned business that fuses contemporary styling with traditional shoemaking techniques. All our shoes are lovingly handcrafted in a process which includes nearly 100 different stages; even our soles are carved by hand. in the beginning the shoes were all custom made to order, but as demand grew, production was moved to a third generation family-run workshop where the shoes are still beautifully handmade on our original 1950s lasts.
Our Heritage
Red By Wolves shoes reference classic english footwear but with a contemporary twist. At the heart of our collection is our ‘classics’ range, including the distinctive unisex styles that have become synonymous with the Red By Wolves name. Our shoes are defined by a strong silhouette and a close attention to detail.
Design and Approach
Lena is the designer behind the brand. She graduated from the renowned Istituto Marangoni and studied at the London shoe-making think tank Cordwainers as well as studying under various bespoke shoe makers and working in the shoe design departments of Jonathan Kelsey and Alexander McQueen. Gerard handles the business side of the brand and graduated with a first class masters degree in design from prestigious London art school, Central Saint Martins. Together they ensure that Red By Wolves goes from strength to strength building on the reputation which has earned the company a place in Jalouse magazine as one of the top 10 British designer labels.
